On yesterday's blog post, I expressed my excitement to FINALLY be starting this new journey.
Well, here is "Finally."
Meet Finally!!!
By looking at the picture above, you're probably thinking that it's just a couple bags of Jen's trash. You're right. It technically is a bag of trash I have been hoarding.
But, to me, it means so much more...
You see, "Finally" started as a small plastic basket that helped spark the idea that I would start a blog and share my love for products -- and that's simply put. The concept was that I would put the empty bottles of products that I have used up until I filled the basket. On a monthly (or so) basis, I would write blog posts to review the things that I have used up. (Anyone watch "Empties" videos on YouTube?)
That was a year ago! The small basket turned into a small shopping bag, turned into a Sephora shipping box, which turned into an Anthropologie shopping bag...which turned into an XL Christmas Sur La Table bag with a little overflow into its new companion labeled Fossil.
Needless to say, Procrastination is my middle name (not really, but you know what I mean, right?).
The truth is that I kept telling myself that I needed more to show, and then convinced myself that it's not the right time, and followed it with MONTHS of "I'll do it this next weekend."
Here are just a few of my other "genius" reasons for procrastinating:
* "Let me just catch up on my YouTube." - That turned into 4 hours!!!
* "I need a new camera." - Yup! Got awesome one 5 months ago!!!!
* "I need to quit my job and focus on doing this blog!" - Yeah, no.
* House of Cards
* American Horror Story
* House of Cards Season 2 (OMG!!! Did you see it???)
* Facebook - (Seriously, Jennifer?)
On a serious note, I look at this bag about 10 times a week hoping, dreaming, wishing, ...filling ... overflowing. Then, I finally took this picture, looked at it and got the last bits of courage and bravery I needed to start this blog and now, I am SOOOOOOOOO excited to share, and show, and LEARN!!!! Sometimes you just need to jump off the scary diving board and trust that you'll be fine. So, I jumped!
Voila! That is how "Finally" came about. The only thing left to say about is to let the "empties" reviews begin!!!!!!!
